"I've had several speech therapists over the years to help me speak clearly and correctly pronounce R's in words, but made little or no improvement until I began working with Kahlil. Although I was only able to work with him for a month, I made far more progress than with all my other teachers combined. He was easily able to figure out what I was doing wrong with my mouth and breathing and find a way to explain it to me. He also records the sessions, so not only did he explain what I was doing wrong, but played it for me so that I could begin to hear my errors for myself (which I hadn't been able to). What I liked most was how easy it was for him to convey and I to understand how to make the correct sounds. As I became more able to say various “R” words correctly, Kahlil spent less of the session time on drills and more on conversing so that he could correct my everyday speech. Not only did this help get me used to speaking correctly in casual conversation - which was and still is my ultimate goal - but I found Kahlil to be a cool down to earth guy. I found him easy to talk to and enjoyed the session - as rigorous as it was with the constant corrections. So I highly recommend him, but only to those who are willing to work hard and actually practice outside of class, because he won't let you slack off."
