Kahlil is an experienced martial artist and show combatant. He has provided instruction at various levels, both in group classes and private lessons, using various techniques from self defense, sport fighting and acting for film/TV/stage to dynamic physical fitness. (Before you read more below, watch Kahlil execute a risky and dynamic forward somersault while diving for a weapon...)

He began his study since he was a boy; this study developed into an ongoing love well into his adulthood. Inspired by Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon, he started in India with Shotokan Karate and Tae Kwon Do. He thirsted to evolve as a fighter in close quarter combat involving full contact, and so began to study boxing, which gave him more confidence in his ability to endure extreme physical duress as well as the speed of movement in his head and hands. He then added Kung Fu To'A to his practice, intrigued by its emphasis on body conditioning. The final style of martial art that Kahlil studied in India was Hung Gar Kung Fu, from which he developed high strength in his legs and fingers. During his time in India, Kahlil competed in full contact and semi-contact kickboxing matches at an amateur level, and considered becoming a professional fighter.

Upon Kahlil's move to Los Angeles, he began to train in full contact martial arts at an even higher level. He came full circle with the philosophy of Bruce Lee - Jeet Kune Do. Additionally, Kahlil had been (and still is) a huge fan of the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA), and began to train ardently in Muay Thai and ground fighting. His love for intense sparring was satisfied, and his physical shape improved notably. He continues to train currently, and uses body and free weight training in his weekly regimen.

Simultaneously, Kahlil gained strong knowledge in show combat (for film/TV and stage), which he loves to coach. He has worked as an actor and choreographer in various plays and films with unarmed and armed combat sequences, and prepares actors for auditions involving combat routines and movements that look best for storytelling.

Kahlil has provided instruction at various levels, in both group classes and private lessons, using various techniques from self defense, sport fighting and acting for film/TV/stage to dynamic physical fitness.
